Shaping the new standard: Meeting Notes 2.0

Since our launch in 2024, Meeting Notes has set the standard for documenting adviser and client interactions - leading the market in detail and accuracy.

Now, we’ve released Meeting Notes 2.0 - our most advanced system for capturing, reviewing, and structuring financial advice meeting notes. Built on a new unified architecture, this latest enhancement is a leap forward in comprehension, understanding nuance, and accuracy. The new system connects the dots across an entire conversation, surfacing intent, nuance and relationships that define client interactions. Meeting Notes 2.0 also ensures a smoother handover to support teams and compliance oversight for management - strengthening the overall advice workflow.

The case for change

Our first generation system was built on a multi-stage process, where conversations were broken up and analysed in sequence. Whilst effective, this approach carried inherent limitations. The sequential design sometimes diluted the context, particularly around capturing soft facts, and baking in tone, intent, and nuanced conversation, leaving advisers to make adjustments.

Meeting Notes 2.0 changes that, holding the full context of a meeting from start to finish, making notes faster, more accurate, and more client-focused.

What’s new?

From multi-stage steps to a new unified intelligence - Meeting Notes 2.0 shifts Saturn from a smart scribe to a true partner.

Meeting Notes 2.0 represents a complete architectural overhaul. Rather than breaking conversations into fragments, it processes the discussion through a single, unified reasoning engine that captures both what was said and how it was said. This means it records explicit facts while also understanding the context, the relationships between topics, and the subtle cues such as humour, frustration, or sarcasm that shape the true nature of client interactions.

The rebuild was designed with a clear goal: to deliver notes that retain more context and require fewer adjustments in practice. The question was whether those design improvements would translate into real gains in everyday adviser workflows.

What the data shows

To test the new system, we ran a large-scale beta across hundreds of live meetings, comparing Meeting Notes 2.0 against the first-generation model.

The goal was to see whether the architectural shift improved quality, and the results were clear.

“I’m doing a lot fewer corrections now. Numbers especially are far more accurate.”

And it goes beyond efficiency. At Saturn, compliance is by design, giving firms peace of mind that every record is audit-ready. This level of precision is not only a step forward for compliance and record-keeping, but also for capturing the nuance and detail that define strong client relationships.

“Where before I’d have to add colour around the notes, now it’s already there. The tweaking I do is minimal.”

Peter Watts

The release of Meeting Notes 2.0 is a major step forward. For advisers, these innovations mean less editing, higher trust, and more time with clients. For compliance teams, it means more consistent, comprehensive, and auditable records. And for firms, it sets a new standard: meeting notes that don’t just document, but reflect the full conversation.

What's next

As part of our ongoing journey, our next focus is on making notes flow even better by reducing repetition, sharpening how vulnerabilities are captured, and supporting more meeting types.

Looking further ahead, we’re working on features like optional speaker identification, customisable note templates, and smarter task generation, all shaped by the firms that use Saturn everyday.
