Advice Will Always Be Human | Rory Albon
A Saturn Studios original following advisers who blend technology with humanity to transform financial advice.
Before committing to a life in financial advice, Rory Albon spent over a decade of his journey in operations, working deep within the ecosystems of Microsoft and Amazon. Despite big tech’s scale and glory, Rory felt an underlying pull toward something more personal. A curiosity to make a genuine impact on people’s lives.
During the Covid pandemic, that instinct toward more meaningful work started to take shape. Rory began studying for the exams required to become a financial adviser. He later joined Lyndhurst Financial Management as a paraplanner before fully qualifying as an independent financial adviser in 2022.

Rory explains his previous work “was helping a big corporate,” and upon reflection, he realised that “no one’s life is going to be changed by my work.”
This very desire, to want to make a difference to people’s lives, encapsulates why we celebrate exceptional financial advisers. These are professionals motivated by the profound responsibility of helping others navigate life’s events, for better and for worse.
For Rory, launching Albon Financial Planning was the natural extension of that motivation: a firm built to provide clear, human-led advice that empowers clients to feel more confident about their financial decisions.

When it comes to practice and what matters most, Rory boils his advice down to its essence:
“Advice will always be human"
There’s nuances that technology won’t pick up, and to have a human that can see the bigger picture, understand what the client’s aim is and what they’re looking for from their finances and their life. To be that person is one of the key bits that I want to get from this firm.”
His perspective is clear and impactful: build a tech-enabled business, for one reason, to be as close as possible to clients.
Amal Jolly, CEO of Saturn, says:
“Rory is a great example of a forward-looking financial planner.
He understands that technology and AI can be built into his business to help him get more time back for what really matters, the human element.
He delivers high quality service with efficiency and quality compliance by default. Always fascinated to talk to him and learn his drive to help people”
